Pennock Pass Introduction:
Pennock Pass is a relaxing route, climbing steadily from east to west. It starts with a laid back cruise along a meandering stream through a narrow valley. A mellow grade slowly brings you to the summit of the pass revealing impressive mountain views. After a few switchbacks, this route ends at Pingree Park Road. Buckhorn Road, the only road for this entire route, is one of the smoothest gravel ribbons I’ve ridden in the state of Colorado. If you’re looking for a road to perfect your gravel riding skills, this is it! But if you’re already proficient, then take this route for a well-deserved cruise through turn after turn of near perfect Dual Sport riding.
