Phantom Canyon Road Introduction: Forever twisting, Phantom Canyon Road follows Eightmile Creek most of its 29.3 mile length, crossing the creek 12 times (and the East Fork Eightmile Creek once). Its most spectacular bridge is the 210 foot long (64m) curved Steel Bridge, also known as the Adelaide Bridge. Originally built for the Florence & Cripple Creek Railroad in 1897, this timber-decked span now serves tourists passing through in their cars, trucks and motorcycles.
